HISTORY
Ten years prior to the current admission, Patient Badr started suffering from discomfort and numbness in the right leg. It lasted for about one week and resolved spontaneously. The cause of the discomfort and numbness was unknown to the patient. After that, he suffered recurrent numbness of the right leg, during which he felt his right leg was stiff, heavy and weak. These symptoms would last 10 days, and the resolve.
He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in local hospital.
Three years prior to the current admission, his lower limbs became worse. Two years prior to the current admission, he began to require assistance in walking. Six months prior to the current admission, his lower limbs became so weak that he couldn’t walk, but have to use a wheelchair.
On August 24th 2011, Patient Badr was admitted to Puhua International Hospital to receive Stem Cell Treatment.
Medical Condition before Stem Cell Treatment for MSA
t admission, he couldn’t walk or stand independently, and even with help it was difficult for him to walk.
He couldn’t fully stretch his left hand fingers. His left hand was clumsy in trying alternating movements.
His left arm was very weak.
