HISTORY
22 years prior to admission, the patient began suffering from high blood sugar and he was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes in a local hospital. He relies on insulin to control his blood sugar level.
Insulin dosage: 32 U medium-acting insulin in the morning; 12U medium-acting insulin at evening.
Patient KS was admitted to Puhua International Hospital(PIH) to receive Stem Cell Treatment to improve his pancreatic function.
Medical Condition before Stem Cell Treatment for Type-1 Diabetes
At admission, the patient presented with sallow complexion. His fasting blood sugar was relatively high (16.4mmol/l).
Stem Cell Treatment for Type-1 Diabetes
Patient KS received MSC’s implantation via IV injection and autologous cellular interventional therapy; therapy to improve blood circulation; therapy to enhance cell energy metabolism; therapy to enhance nutrition.
Medical Condition after Stem Cell Treatment for Type-1 Diabetes
After Stem Cell Treatment, the patient’s overall condition was improved.
By discharge, his insulin dosage was reduced by 18 units/day: 26 U medium-acting insulin in the morning; 8U medium-acting insulin at evening. His fasting blood sugar is 4.3mmol/L.

6 weeks after his discharge, Patient KSwas using 11 units of insulin in the morning and 2 units in the evening. He was so excited, saying “In the last 23 yrs, it’s the first time that I have been able to take < 15 units and I am so happy about it.”
Later his doctor has suggested that he take only 9 units of insulin in the morning and 2 units insulin in the evening (11 units/day total).
